Mrs. Erin Spinks Guidance Counselor
Hello and welcome to Kahler Middle School! My name is Mrs. Spinks and I am the guidance counselor for students with the last name beginning with A-G. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master of Science degree with a specialization in school counseling from Purdue University. I have worked at Kahler for 25 years now and love coming to to work with such a dedicated staff. I have a 14 year old son that is going into 9th grade and my husband is a high school English teacher.
As the guidance counselor, I am available to help with academic, social/emotional, and personal concerns. I have found that I enjoy working with this age group because students are learning, growing, and experiencing so many changes in middle school. I really enjoy my role in encouraging all children to strive for their personal best and be successful. I’m also available to attend parent-teacher conferences at the request of a parent or teacher. Please do not hesitate to contact me for assistance. Wishing everyone a great 2021-2022 school year!

I have been a school counselor for 24 years. This is my 14th year working for LCSC as a middle school counselor. I’m a proud wife and mother to almost 21 year old twin boys, and a soon to be 6th grader.
I love serving the middle school students as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I understand the joys and frustrations of the middle school years and look forward to working with you.
Mrs. Mallory Carroll Guidance Counselor
Welcome to Kahler! My name is Mrs. Carroll and I am the school counselor for students with the last name beginning with H-O. This will be my sixth year as a school counselor and my fourth year at Kahler. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology. My husband and I love staying busy! We enjoy golfing, boating, and anything outdoors. Together we love sharing the duties of being an aunt and uncle.
The middle school year is filled with all kinds of emotions, fears, and memories. I am here to support, guide, and grow with my students through all walks of life academically, socially, and emotionally. I learn best from my students, and I truly love getting to know all of them. I believe communication is key in doing my job, so I look forward to meeting families as well!
I can’t wait to meet you! Let’s make the best of each year together.
Mrs. Carrie Vojvodich School Service Provider
My name is Carrie Vojvodich and I’m the School Service Provider at Kahler Middle School. The 2022-23 school year will be my 11th year at Kahler; I’m very much looking forward to working with you & your family!
My job includes meeting with students on a regular basis to work on social skills, discuss grades, develop academic and organizational goals and help solve any problems that should come up throughout their middle school career. I facilitate groups with all grade levels; some with all students in a whole classroom or by pulling kids out into smaller groups, outside the classroom, to focus on teaching a variety of life skills (i.e., reading social cues, resolving conflict, recognizing personal strengths and learning coping skills to help regulate emotions to name a few)! I also attend case conferences for students with counseling minutes in their Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and consult with teachers when students are struggling to develop Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) when needed.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family & friends, especially watching my daughter play soccer as her team’s goalie, playing with our family dog, Fenway, and traveling with my husband.
My goal is to support and guide students through these exciting and challenging middle school years! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your student.
